Apple has just released an update to iOS 4.2.6 with bug fixes for Verizon iPhone 4. The major bug that was been reported is the Personal Hotspot data reporting accuracy. iOS 4.2.6 update has fixed the bug and according to the notes, the Personal Hotspot data usage is now working fine. But in order to use the personal hotspot tethering plan you have to pay $20 USD per month for 2GB data and an additional $20 USD for per GB will be applicable.
Additionally, Apple has introduced design changes for Verizon’s CDMA iPhone 4 that may fix the antenna reception problems.
iSuppli Senior Director Andrew Rassweiler, told:
Apple’s new designs always exhibit changes, evolution and optimization. This approach is evident not only in the antenna design but also in items like the integrated GPS functionality and the shrinking of the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo module.
This prompt fix released by Apple and Verizon would end nightmares for the Verizon iPhone 4 users with previous bugs on over billing practices.
