There are various rumours scattered about the iPhone 5,iPad 2 and Apple TV.The rumours include the features of both devices and the expected release date. But the rumours were not reliable. But now Joshua Topolsky, the editor-in-chief of Engadget have got some information from “reliable sources about the features of the iPhone 5, iPad 2 and the next generation of the Apple TV.
iPhone 5
Engadget also reports that the iPhone 5 will be a “completely re-designed handset,” and will use the dual GSM/CDMA chipsets produced by Qualcomm instead of the Infineon chipset used in the GSM iPhone 4. The iPhone 5 will feature Apple’s new Cortex A9-based multicore processor (Apple A5) instead of the current Apple A4 processor.
Apple is expected to launch iPhone 5 in the summer and it’s being tested discreetly by senior staff at Apple.
iPad 2
According to Engadget, iPad 2 will feature a super higher resolution screen with Retina Display, the same as iPhone 4’s one. It will feature a Qualcomm chipset that does triple duty as the CDMA / GSM / UMTS baseband processor.
The screen size of iPad 2 is expected to remain the same but it will come with front and rear cameras. It will get a built in SD card slot, won’t feature a USB port and will be “lighter”.
The iPad 2 is set to come out in April and the 3G edition shall be including both GSM and CDMA radios by Qualcomm.
Apple TV
Apple is also working on the next generation of Apple TV, which will include the speedy Cortex A9-based multicore processor (A5 chip) from the iPhone 5 and that the chip is powerful enough to bring 1080P video to Apple TV.
