We have written in some of the past posts how Pod2g has progress in his untethered jailbreak ventures. So far, he has successfully accomplished untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4 and is inching towards iPhone 4S. To substantiate his claims, he has now released a video which gives a demo of untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4.
According to Pod2g’s latest blog post, some people had been telling him that this untethered jailbreak works only on old iPods. So in order to provide a video evidence, he has posted a video which gives a demo of the untethered jailbreak of iPhone 4.
In the video:
In the video, an iPhone 4 has been shown. The person using the phone does a jailbreak on it and then restarts the phone. As opposed to a tethered jailbreak, the untethered jailbreak stays valid even after rebooting without any external device. So in this case, the video shows that the jailbreak remains functional even after reboot. The phone functions a little slowly and according to Pod2g, they are working on enhancing the stability of this untethered jailbreak.
Like we reported earlier, Pod2g is actively gearing up for an untethered jailbreak of iPhone 4S. He had some A5 cache issues which he has now successfully resolved and is working hard to reach an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S too. This jailbreak will also be valid on iPad 2. The entire iOS community is waiting eagerly for this to happen. They are also waiting for Pod2g to release the untethered jailbreak procedures which, we hope, will happen after he conquers iPhone 4S too.
