Rumor: iPhone 5 Will Support Two SIM Cards

According to the report of the Chinese blog iDealsChina, the iPhone 5 will hold two SIM cards supporting this way, dual phone lines. A few days ago this site also leaked the design images of iPhone 5. This looks somehow strange and we think that iDealsChina may got the information a bit wrong from their source. But if they are right, than this is great news.

“Heard from a reliable source that iPhone 5 will support 2 sim cards allowing you to use 2 phone lines. We hope to see some proof.”

There are also rumors that iPhone 5 will include a Qualcomm Gobi Cellular data chipset.Verizon iPhone 4 is also having Gobi Cellular data chipset which allows users to use both GSM and CDMA connections in the same phone.Hence, may be iDealsChina meant this while they said about iPhone 5 will have dual SIM cards.

Dual SIM card will come handy for users as they will be able to keep both the carriers ie,Verizon and AT&T in the same iPhone which for sure give them better coverage.

iPhone 5 is expected to be released in June or July at WWDC 2011 with a slider physical keyboard and Aluminum Case.
