How To Add A Second Person To Unlock Your iPhone with Face ID

Face ID is a new unlocking method in iPhone X that unlocks with your face. After removing of fingerprint system Apple reinvented unlocking system with the new Face ID. The new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR are also in the same way to unlock it.

Now you wanted to add the second face to unlock your iPhone. But that was impossible in the old iOS. In iOS 12, you can add the second person to unlock your iPhone. So you are letting another person unlock your iPhone. Today we are showing you the very easy way to add the second person to unlock your iPhone X by Face ID.

Is Face ID secure?

Apple claims that Face ID is more secure and it is not easy to break it. It is incredibly accurate and secure. There’s a 1 in 1,000,000 chance that someone gaining access to your Face ID. A printed photo or video of a face can’t fool it. But the iPhone X’s Face ID can be fooled by identical twins. You don’t have to worry if you haven’t any identical twin.

Why is it important to add a second Face ID?

Sometimes It’s needed to share your phone’s control to others like your spouse. Before the invention of Face ID, Touch ID was the best option to secure your iPhone. Multiple fingers are supported in the Touch ID. But in iOS 11 that was impossible to add second face ID on iPhone X. On the other side, if you want to use your iPhone X to family-wide then it is much important to add second Face ID.

Step 1: At first, go to settings.

Step 4: Tap on Setup an alternative appearance.

Step 5: Tap on ‘Get Started’

Now Register Face ID and save it. That’s all.
