Seems like Apple has bagged a big contract from the United States Department of Defense (DoD). Electronista has reported that the United States Department of Defense is going to purchase 650,000 iOS devices this year.
Electronista has reported citing an unnamed source that the DoD will purchase 120,000 iPads, 100,000 iPad minis, 200,000 iPod touches and 210,000 iPhones. More than half of the devices will see action in the “battlefield, afloat, and to associated support commands.” And most of the remaining half will be used at the Pentagon.
