Apple Abandons The 17-Inch Model Of MacBook Pro

During its WWDC 2012, Apple has made a whole lot of very important announcements. It has also unveiled the refreshed lineup of its MacBook notebooks. What was perhaps the most exciting part of the new MacBook models was that there is now a Retina display MacBook Pro available for the users.

Apart from the Retina Display MacBook Pro, there are the regular 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro notebooks. The MacBook Pro with Retina display also boasts some very impressive hardware, enabling it to be a beast when it comes to processing power.

However, the regular MacBook Pro models have also received an upgrade with Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors being a part of it. They don’t have a Retina display but then are still a sight to behold.

Finally, what is interesting to note is that the axe has fallen on the 17-inch MacBook Pro. Apple hasn’t created a fresh model of this notebook which pretty much means that the company is discontinuing it. It may be because of its limited popularity or the fact that Apple wants to attend more to its replacement in the form of Retina MacBook Pro.

Nonetheless, if you still want a 17-inch MacBook Pro, you may want to get it right away from a refurbished store. Prices start near $1700.
