Gigabyte showed its new convertible ultrabook at CES 2013 in Las Vegas. The device, named U2142, is finally available for purchase. The 11.6-inch convertible ultrabook running Windows 8 operating system can be converted into a tablet or a ultrabook based on users’ needs.
The U2142 is powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core processor with a host of connectivity ports. The 11.6-inch display features 1366 x 768 pixels of resolution and multi-touch capability. There are options for the users to choose between 64/128/256GB mSATA SSD and 500/750GB/1TBHDD or both. The Gigabyte U2142 weighs just 1.39 kg for the m-SSD model, and with the hard drive it weighs 1.49kg only. The device is 2 cm thick with closed lid.
