Logitech unveiled it’s Harmony Ultimate Hub – an accessory that turns your smartphone into a powerful, universal remote. This device can also control your home entertainment devices through the smartphone you already have. You can control your home entertainment devices through a free Harmony Android or iOS app.
The app allows users to customize activities and choose their favorite channel icons. The hub is able to control up to eight home theater devices. Swipe or tap your thumb across its screen to adjust the volume, change the channel, fast-forward or rewind, pause, play, and skip forward or back. You can also directly control video services such as Netflix on game consoles like Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 from your smartphone.
The device is very smart and small in size. You can put it anywhere, even it can access devices inside closed cabinets or walls and control Bluetooth game consoles. The Logitech Harmony Ultimate Hub is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in August 2013, for a suggested retail price of $100.
