Details of Nokia’s forthcoming Meego-based N9 smartphone have emerged on Twitter during a conversation between @camb078 and @addiermedina, the later works on Nokia’s team in Mexico.
The N9 will feature an ARM A9 Cortex Dual Core clocked at 1.2GHz (28nm manufacturing process so most probably a dual core) and capable of spitting 190 million polygons per second.
The other claims reported include a 4.2-inch AMOLED display, a 1600mAh battery, 1GB ROM, 768MB RAM, a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optic, GPS, Wi-Fi, HD video capture, 64GB storage, a slide out QWERTY keyboard with micro chiclet keys and Meego 1.2 OS.
The N9, which looks like a miniature MacBook Air, is set to be released in the first quarter of 2011, possibly at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
This is too good to be true. The hardware specs for Nokia N9 are believed to be more or less fixed. Check for reference here: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n9-3398.php
MeeGo 1.2 is scheduled for April of 2011
