We have been hearing about the new Galaxy S4 models that Samsung intends to unveil in the coming days. There has been some talk of the ‘Galaxy S4 (GT-I9057)’ model which is apparently yet to arrive. Details of this specific model have now been spotted on GLBenchmarks.
Until now, virtually no significant hints of GT-I9057 had been spotted and many had disregarded it as a figment of rumor. But now, the existence of the model on GLBenchmarks lends certain credibility to claims about it.
On the GLBenchmark database, certain details of the handset have also been revealed. For instance, GT-I9057 packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz SoC together with an Adreno 320 GPU. The handset also includes a full 1080p HD display and runs Android 4.2.2. Moreover, it also includes LTE connectivity, which means that when it is eventually released, users will be able to enjoy high connectivity speeds on it.
So far, it isn’t clear as to whether or not this handset will be region-specific, as the upcoming variants of Galaxy S4 are expected to be. Samsung hasn’t issued any official word either. However, the presence of the handset on GLBenchmark at least substantiates the claim that such a handset exists.
Rather than going with a new smartphone launch, Samsung is expected to dish out different variants of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4 handset. When may the company release such variants is anyone’s guess. So for now, we are waiting for Samsung to divulge any details of the upcoming releases.
