HTC has been able to dish out a number of high-end, quality smartphones. Despite this, the company has been on a downward spiral for a while and has been trying to regain its foothold in the smartphone market. The upcoming launch of HTC Desire L in Taiwan may be a part of this effort.
HTC Desire L packs a fairly modest set of specifications and is an Android smartphone. It features a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display at 800 x 480 resolution and includes 1GB of RAM together with 4GB of storage as well as a 5 megapixel camera. The processor is a 1GHz dual-core, which fits in well with the rest of low-end specifications.
Although HTC hasn’t revealed the exact specs of the smartphone, Android Police was able to spot it on HTC Taiwan’s website. According to the listing of the specs, Desire L includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G connectivity. It also comes with a GPS, GLONASS and an 1,800 mAh battery which should be able to give a fairly decent battery time.
According to the company, the handset will be launched in Taiwan soon, although HTC stopped short of providing an exact schedule. It is also unclear whether or not the handset will be launched in other areas, such as the U.S and we are not yet aware of its pricing details.
