Motorola’s Android 2.2 powered Milestone 2 has been made available in the UK.The Milestone 2, known in the US as the Droid 2, is offered for £379.99 SIM-free from online electrical retailer Expansys, and on contracts with various networks.So far, the only details for its carrier is it will be landing on Vodafone with different tariffs (as usual) on its data plan.

The device has a slide-out QWERTY keypad like its predecessor with support for SWYPE predictive text. On the messaging side there is push email, Gmail and corporate sync support with Exchange 2003 and 2007.
Under the hood the device is powered by a 1GHz processor – a step up from the 500MHz version of its predecessor – and comes with the latest version of Motoblur.
The Milestone 2 also has the same 3.7inch touchscreen display and 5 megapixel camera with digital zoom and dual LED flash as its predecessor.
The 8GB of on-board memory is also expandable via microSD with support for up to 32GB of extra memory.
