While some tablet makers are giving hits that the price of Windows 8 RT devices could be below $300, a leaked pricing information from ZDNET shows that Asus upcoming Windows 8 RT tablet called Vivo Tab RT is coming in at $599 with a $199 dock. According to the leaked info, Asus’ Windows 8 tablet pricing will start at $599 and run to $1,299. The source has not confirmed that whether Asus will change the prices or it is final.
Asus Vivo Tab will run on Windows 8 instead of Windows RT and the Intel Atom chip based tablet’s price will start at $799 with a $199 dock. The touch-friendly device has a preloaded trial version of Microsoft Office.
The convertible tablet called ASUS Taichi will come with an Intel Core i7 processors and a dual-screen 11.6″ display with 1920×1080 resulation. The price of the device will start at $1,299. This device has a display on both sides of the lid. Only the rear side display is touch enabled.
