Microsoft Creates Skateboard Using A Surface Tablet and Wheels

Steven Sinofsky, Chief of Microsoft’s Windows division, posted a photograph in Twitter of him skating inside of a local mall. No, he wasn’t skating on your typical wood skateboard — Sinofsky attached four wheels to a Surface tablet and hopped right on.

Microsoft Surface Skateboard

Microsoft’s Sinofsky decided to skateboard on a Surface tablet to prove its screen was more durable than most competing tablets. The Surface table is manufactured with Gorilla Glass 2 and a magnesium chassis.

No, Microsoft won’t be stocking these nifty skateboards on the market — however the Surface tablet will hit the market on October 26th beginning at $499. Microsoft boasts the Surface as a great alternative to a laptop computer for business travelers. They run the latest operating system, Windows 8, and can complete similar tasks of a computer.
