Motorola’s Droid Xyboard 8.2 And 10.1 Get Updates, Now Support International Roaming

A new update is on the card for Motorola’s Droid Xyboard 8.2 and 10.1. This has recently been announced by Verizon, the carrier for the devices. The update brings some very significant features to Xyboard devices, including the ability to open links in emails without having to reboot. Moreover, what is the most important part of this update is that it will enable international roaming via GSM on Xyboard devices.

The update will bring a lot of improvement to the devices. The minor improvement include better browser performance, touch response and stylus enhancements specifically for Xyboard 10.1. Moreover, with the update, both devices can maintain their data connection even when the switch between a Wi-Fi and 3G, LTE connection.

The most significant feature of this update of course is that the new update enables international roaming on the two devices. The update is expected to be released within the next two weeks. Verizon will send it as an over-the-air update. One little drawback on the new update is that you will be forced to install The Daily application. Nonetheless, all good things come at a price and this one doesn’t seem much pricey for something as awesome as international roaming.
