Sony Upcoming New 3G Tablet S, Tablet P For Japan

A very good news for the Japanese, Sony is going to release two new tablet in japan market. This are 3G Tablet S, Tablet P will hit the Japanese market in 28th October. At first it will be available in Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo.

Both of Sony’s tablets features Android Honeycomb 3.2. The S model features a 1280 x 720 screen, while the split screens on the P are each 1024 x 480. Both feature Tegra 2 processors and Playstation certification, a la the XPERIA Play, plus a rear 5 megapixel 720p camera. On this side of the Pacific, the Tablet S is only available in a WiFi version, and the dual-screen tablet P is still a complete no-show. The Tablet S has a built-in infrared port for controlling televisions and set-top boxes, and both of them feature DLNA certification and access to Sony’s media stores for music, video and e-books.

In order to encourage the users, Sony offering users who purchase either the 3G versions of the Tablet S or Tablet P will be receiving ¥1,040 (~$14) discount on their data plan for the first six months. But sony do not provide any informations on when they will be bringing this 3G goodness over to the states or the rest of the world.
