Google Posts ‘The Story Of Send’ – The Path Of A Single Email

Ever wondered how your email goes from your computer to the other person to whom you intend to send it? The journey it takes is a rather long one and very interesting too. Google Green has now created a very interactive and fun ‘Story of the Send’ which goes on to show the journey of an email from the sender to the receiver.

Google Green is basically an initiative by Google to show how it is striving for a greener Google and the importance of it. According to the website, “At Google, we’re striving to power our company with 100% renewable energy. In addition to the environmental benefits, we see renewable energy as a business opportunity and continue to invest in accelerating its development. We believe that by powering the web with renewable energy, we’re creating a better future for everyone.”

The ‘Story of Send’ is posted right here and the initial description reads, “Ever wondered what happens when you send an email? Take a journey with Gmail and find out. Along the way, discover our data centers through videos, photos and more. It all begins when you click send.”

As stated above, the ‘story’ goes on to show, through photos and videos, numerous features at Google facilities. For instance, a video shows how security of the user data is ensured through several security measures at Google’s data centers. In all, it is a very interesting and fun post by Google. You can check it out right here.
