Facebook has sent out invitations for a June 20 event to share its next “big idea” with the press. The social network seeks to introduce a “new product” in the event.
The event will be held on Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California. The company wants to unveil “a new product” to the press over a coffee break.
The invitation, printed on paper and hand-delivered by courier, read, “A small team has been working on a big idea. Join us for coffee and learn about a new product.”
According to TechCrunch, a news reader that aggregates trending stories or RSS feeds might be unveiled in the event.
Over the last six month’s Facebook has been introducing new features and services on its social network. The last “big thing” its introduced was the Facebook Home, which failed to draw a sizable crowd so far.
