Twitter widgets are used on websites to display some recent tweets. For responding any one of the displayed tweets, a reader/viewer has to navigate away from that page to Twitter and then post a reply. But, to make the system more easily, Twitter launched a new tool to be more specific new HTML widget on September 5 to embed interactive timelines of Tweets on any website. The new embeddable timelines enable from writers to publishers, developers to any Twitter user to tweet anything into their websites. Now discover a new world of Tweeting.
The new HTML widget comes with a scrollable timeline which can display more tweets. The scrollable timeline provides a reader with the option of responding to a tweet through the widget. The new HTML widget allows users to re-tweet. Besides, it also allows photos and images to be displayed through click-to-expand.
A reader/viewer can not only pull tweets from a given account but also can pull tweets from a list and display them through the widget. Those who are interested to embed Twitter timelines on his/her website can get the procedure details in Twitter developer blog.
The last two images above are the example featuring some of the tweets from the @TheTechJournal account. Besides, Twitter has provided a number of examples in its blog.
