Not everyone digested the news easily when WhatsApp declared that people would be able to tell when their message were read. But here’s the good news for all those users: now you can disable the read receipt on your app.
WhatsApp’s latest Android version (2.11.44) lets its users to disable the read receipt. Many users are already satisfied with this decision, since it will help them keep their privacy intact, where many other similar apps, such as Facebook and several mail tracking services are preposterously hampering their privacy.
This version of the app is available only for Android currently, and that too, through the website of WhatsApp. But it will soon be available for iOS and Windows Phone.
