NES Electric Guitar

An NES console that has been modified in such an interesting manner, it has turned into an electric guitar instead. This custom six-string electric guitar uses an old Nintendo Entertainment System console as the body, alongside a standard neck and a hard-tail bridge. A single coil pickup with volume control and an output jack rounds the modifications out.

It’s pretty easy to see how this concept would have been adapted by Nintendo back in the 80s, when slot-loading cartridge technology would have probably inspired them to tackle a Guitar Hero peripheral by having a player plug his console into his guitar, and not vice versa.

This geeky guitar is available right now for only $150.
