It’s man’s nature to be different while proposing to his girlfriend for marriage. And lately, a 27-year-old man named Aavid-Osario has proposed to his 26-year old girlfriend Saydi Rodriguez by seemingly writing the words “will you marry me?” on the moon.
So naturally the question raises – how did Rodriguez propose by writing the words “will you marry me?” on the moon. Well, Saydi printed the words on the eyepiece of its telescope. Osario fixed his custom-made eyepiece to the telescope and asked Miss Rodriguez to look at the full moon. When Rodriguez looked through the eyepiece she saw Mr Osario’s proposal silhouetted against the moon. At the same time when she looked at Osraio she found he was on his one knee, with a ring in his hand.
Aavid-Osario, “I wanted the proposal to be romantic, with a hint of geeky. I didn’t want to do it in too public a place, because Miss Rodriguez’s shy, and of course I wanted it to remain a surprise. One morning as I had breakfast, I looked up at the telescope and the idea just hit me. Two weeks before the proposal I dropped hints of me starting an astronomy club at work. This gave me an excuse to have the entire telescope apparatus in my car without raising suspicion.”
Saydi Rodriguez became really surprised after getting such a romantic proposal for marriage from Osraio. So to be sure enough, she “kept asking him if he was serious.” Now the couple has planned to get married next year.
