RIM Employee Stabbed At BlackBerry Party In London Is Dead

Last week, a tragic incident happened. Earlier this week at a London party, a Research In Motion employee was stabbed. The party was hosted by the BlackBerry maker. The name of the man who was stabbed on April 3rd is Phillip Sherriff. He died on Sunday. RIM became shocked at this.


British police has identified the dead man as Phillip Sherriff. He was 37 years old. British police suspects, 25 year old Ashley Charles killed Phillip Sherriff with a broken bottle at the event on Tuesday. Police have taken Charles to custody in connection with the stabbing.

“It is with great sadness that we confirm a BlackBerry employee was the victim of the fatal attack in Southwark on April 3rd. We are all shocked by this news and deeply saddened. We are deeply saddened to hear our colleague has died as a result of the attack on Tuesday 3rd April. Our thoughts are with his family and those close to him and we ask for the respect of their privacy at this difficult time.” RIM said.
