Sony To Buy Out Ericsson Share

Sony has bought out Ericsson’s stake in Sony Ericsson, giving the Japanese company sole control over the smartphone manufacturer and the deal, worth €1.05bn ($1.47bn) in cash to Ericsson, will see Sony bring the smartphone business in under its networked consumer electronics umbrella. Although Sony Ericsson didn’t make much of an impact in the smartphone market, its latest Android based devices have managed to grab some attention and the announcement comes just a day after Nokia launched its first Windows Phone handsets, so we might be looking at the start of a Scandinavian phone renaissance……………………
