NASA Developing A Service Robot That Will Refuel Satellites

There are many satellites in space whose fuel has about to come an end. Besides some satellites need to be repaired. So to repair and refuel the satellites without bringing them back to Earth, space agency NASA is developing a service robot. The robot will go to space, refuel the satellites and if needed will repair them.

Retired NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour Now Travelling On The Streets Of Los Angeles

A retired space shuttle of NASA started its journey on September 17 towards its permanent home – California Science Center and arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on September 20. Can you guess which space shuttle I’m talking about? You could be right. I’m talking about NASA’s youngest space shuttle Endeavour. However, this retired space shuttle has felt a bit bore and has decided to show itself to the people. So, the space shuttle has started its journey through the streets of Los Angeles from October 12 (Friday).

HTC Nexus One Is Going To Space, Thanks To NASA

In 2010, HTC attacked a Nexus One device to a rocket which was then fired. The rocket travelled right to the edge of the space with the smartphone appended to it, which recorded the entire video of the flight. The experiment provided a unique scenario where the power of a smartphone can be used. Now, HTC is planning to send Nexus One on an even longer mission, one that will take it to space.

NASA Might Have Found A New Black Hole In Our Galaxy

Last month, NASA’s Swift satellite detected a rising tide of high-energy X-rays produced by a rare X-ray Nova. After that researchers said it was an evidence of a black hole’s existence which could be a part of a binary system near the Milky Way’s core. However, researchers at NASA kept focusing on that and now they are quite sure about discovering a new black hole in our galaxy.

NASA Created 3D Model Of Dark Matter

Although science and technology have advanced tremendously, dark matter is still supposed to be one of the most critical things in the realm of astronomy and cosmology. But what the hell is dark matter? Well, it is a type of matter hypothesized to account for a large part of the total mass in the universe. The interesting thing is dark matter is invisible and therefore it can’t be seen directly even with the world’s most powerful telescope. But the invisibility of dark matter couldn’t stop NASA from creating a sharp 3D map of this mysterious substance.

NASA And SpaceX Is Ready To Launch First Unmanned Cargo Resupply Flight

After a successful first flight to the International Space Station (ISS), national space research center NASA and space transport company SpaceX are moving ahead quickly on a planned mission to use the Dragon capsule to resupply the ISS. Out of 12 contracted flights by SpaceX to resupply the space station, NASA and SpaceX jointly have announced that they are targeting October 7 as a launch for the first contracted US cargo resupply mission to the ISS.

Warp Drive Spaceship Is Possible! At Least NASA Believes So

A Warp Drive is a fictional faster-than-light (FTL) propulsion system. It would manipulate space-time itself to move an interstellar spacecraft (starship), taking advantage of a loophole in the laws of physics that prevent anything from moving faster than light. Researchers calculated that creating such a device would require monstrous amounts of energy (fuel and thrust). But now physicists are saying by doing some adjustment to the proposed warp drive, the machine may run on significantly less energy. NASA has already jumped into work to create a wrap drive.

NASA’s Endeavour Space Shuttle Flies For Its Home On September 17

NASA’s space shuttles Discovery and Enterprise have already settled into their new homes. Now, its time for another space shuttle to settle down – Endeavour. NASA plans to send its space shuttle Endeavour to its permanent home – California Science Center. Endeavour will start its journey for home on September 17.
