MWC 2012 – ZTE Tania Windows Phone [Hands-On Photos]

ZTE has promised unveiling a number of devices during the Mobile World Congress 2012. And it has lived up the claim. Apart from a number of other devices it has featured on it’s booth, the two that seem to have secured the spotlight are the Windows Phone devices, ZTE Tania and ZTE Orbit. We laid our hands on ZTE Tania and it came as a fairly decent smartphone, though probably falling among low-range smartphone devices as per it’s specs.

ZTE Is Expected To Announce A Pair Of Ice Cream Sandwich Smartphones, At MWC

Apparently, Android smartphones are big in China. After Huawai teased the tech journalists with invitations hinting to the quad core smartphone powered by the latest Android version, Ice Cream Sandwich to be released at this years’ edition of Mobile World Congress, now the Chinese company ZTE is getting ready to release two more smartphones running on ICS at the same event.

ZTE Skate Launches Globally

ZTE Skate marked the completion of the first phase of its worldwide launch and this is the first release of the handset in the Asia Pacific region. ZTE Skate will target the average Joe on the street who wants a functional Android phone without looking as though its design is stuck sometime in the past and it will measure 11.35mm thick, sporting a 4.3″ TFT capacitive display at 480 x 800 resolution, tipping the scales at 148 grams. InterDigital Sues Nokia, Huawei And ZTE For 3G Patent

InterDigital has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against Nokia, Huawei Technologies and ZTE accusing the cellphone makers of infringing seven InterDigital technology patents and the hammer’s been forged from seven patents for various WCDMA and CDMA2000 technologies allegedly found in those companies phones, broadband dongles and tablets. InterDigital said it has tried to negotiate licensing deals with the companies but has failed to reach an acceptable resolution and InterDigital has around 1,400 U.S. patents but claims to have a patent portfolio of 19,000 issued patents and patent applications worldwide…………
