Firefox OS recently created a lot of interest, with many smartphone vendors vowing to release Firefox OS phones soon. Geeksphone has apparently beaten all these vendors by announcing that it will start selling two Firefox OS phones from today. The phones are geared towards developers who want to try their hands at the new mobile OS.
Apple’s iOS operating system and Google’s Android has captured around 90 percent of smartphone market OS share, according to IDC. They seems to have a competitor who is still young, but can ignite serious competition — Firefox OS. Mozilla CEO Gary Kovacs announced at the D: Dive Into Mobile conference that, Firefox OS is going to be launched in five countries this summer.

Nearly six months ago, Apple was notified of a security flaw in the App Store. The flaw was of a fairly serious nature, yet it’s only now that Apple has finally patched it up by turning on encryption. The flaw emanated from the fact that when a user connected to the App Store, the connection was unencrypted.
