Adobe has finally launched a number of Touch Apps for tablets. Adobe has been working on these applications and the launched apps are still in public beta. Available with a few Android tablets, the Touch apps are priced at $9.99 for now.
Kindle Fire with it’s sleek design, better-than-before OS and competitive prices may put many contemporary tablets to test. With Apple iPads still safe with their superior performances, Kindle Fire is most likely to affect the Android tablet market. In the long-run, it may pose a threat to Apple’s iPads too.
ViewSonic announced on Monday that its ViewPad 7e Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) tablet will be available in North America by the end of October for $199.99 and the ViewPad 7e offers a 7-inch display with an 800 x 600-pixel resolution, a user interface with 3D holographic visual effects, a 1GHz processor, 4GB of storage, a micro-HDMI port, a 3-megapixel camera, a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats and a microSD card slot for adding up to 32GB of additional storage. As is often the case with low-end tablets, one key omission is official support for the Android Market, but you do at least get access to Amazon’s Appstore and plenty of pre-loaded apps including Twitter, Kindle and TuneIn Radio…………………..

Sony has launched their subscription based music service for Android and their own Sony Tablet S Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet and the new service charges you a monthly fee to access some 10 million music tracks using your Android device or any other Sony Music Unlimited approved devices. A tablet version of PlayStation Store has also been released, allowing officially certified games to be purchased and downloaded to the device, the music service was offered on its new tablets slightly after they were launched because more time was required for development……………..
E-reader maker Kobo is following in Barnes & Noble’s and Amazon’s footsteps and releasing its own low-priced Android tablet, announced the Kobo Vox tablet on Wednesday, coming in at a Amazon Kindle Fire-matching price of $199.99 and it inspired by the idea of the Vox Populi or voice of the people, Kobo Inc. belives it can change the conversation in the tablet world. This is a 7-inch Android 2.3 Gingerbread tablet that has a resolution of 1,024 × 600, Wi-Fi, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD slot, access to 2.4 million books, access to the 15,000 apps in the Android Market, overall dimensions are 0.53 x 5 x 7.57-inches, battery life is 6 hours and it weighs 400 grams, if you do pre-order this you’ll get 3 free colour books and shipping starts October 28th…………….
Motorola has unveiled the ET1, a tablet created with the enterprise in mind and the tablet was constructed to offer more security and also sturdiness than a consumer tablet would need. It also features multi-user login options and enterprise applications for workforce and inventory management and the 1.4-pound ET1 features a 7-inch touchscreen and front and rear cameras. The ET1 boasts only WiFi connectivity, though Motorola Solutions’ Sheldon Safir says a Wide Area Network version is in the works and the manufacturer didn’t offer a specific price, but Safir tells Computer World that bulk purchases should cost less than $1,000 by the time the slab hits the market…………….
