PS3 System Software Update v3.70 Adds Auto-Save Cloud Storage

The new version 3.70 update for PlayStation 3 is not one of those times, particularly if you’re a PlayStation Plus member or 3D television owner and the major update in the new firmware has to do with the Automatic Download feature that’s available only to Plus members. It’s been renamed Automatic Update and now does more than grab updates for recently played games and also it will automatically sync your trophies with PSN and upload game saves to your online storage. The firmware also packs a few additional features for non-paid users, adding a recommendation function to items in the PlayStation store and a new TV / Video Services XMB category for Netflix, Hulu PLUS and VUDU apps……………..

Fusion-io Is Collaborating With NVIDIA To Accelerate Entertainment Production

Fusion-io , a provider of a next-generation shared data decentralization platform, announced its participation in the SIGGRAPH 2011 international conference on computer graphics and interactive technologies. Fusion-io is collaborating with a number of leading technology companies, including NVIDIA, Thinkbox Software and Tweak Software, to accelerate entertainment production. According to engadget a relatively stock HP Z800 workstation was loaded with the NVIDIA QuadroPlex 7000 Visual Computing System (that’s four GPUs, for those counting) in order to push four HD panels. A pair of Fusion-io’s ioDrive Duos were pushing a total of three gigabytes per second, enabling all 12 of the feeds to cycle through with nary a hint of lag. HTC Launched Portal HTCdev.com For Its Development Support Community

HTC has officially opened the doors to HTCDev.com, its new developer portal and the future home for all bootloader unlocking tools and HTCDev consists of guidance and tutorials for coding for HTC smartphones, as well as the HTC OpenSense SDK framework. Blair outlined that the development portal will offer SDK, tutorials, sample code, binaries, kernel source code and specific HTC APIs for use with the EVO 3D, and the HTC Pen SDK. The launch of HTCdev is an interesting move and by this developers now have access to a number of different tools which will allow them to create applications using the OpenSense platform………….
