HDI 3D Introduced HD Laser-Driven 2D/3D Projectors For Home Theater

HDI 3D announces it has begun manufacturing its line of proprietary and patented Laser-Driven 2D/3D Switchable Dynamic Video Projectors. The 120-inch diagonal screen offers 70 Foot Lambert in 2D and 35 Foot Lambert in 3D, and the 200 and 300-inch diagonal screens offer 35 Foot Lambert in 2D and 18 Foot Lambert in 3D. A full 100 of the systems will be available on February 14th as part of a pre-production run, but they certainly won’t be cheap. The expected prices ranging from $55,000 to $85,000. Nintendo has inked a new deal to secure an additional 5,000 free WiFi hotspots for 3DS console owners. According to a report from International Business Times, the service, backed by BSkyB-controlled The Cloud, goes live today, bringing users access to all the console’s usual online features and should come in handy when in-game DLC becomes available later this year.

Panasonic, Samsung, Sony And XpanD To Collaborate For Setting Up New 3D Glasses Standard

Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and XpanD finally team up for an active 3D glasses standard and CEA is playing catch up on the IR glasses problem, but many of the new HDTVs for 2011 are using Bluetooth technology to keep their glasses in sync, again without any promise of cross-manufacturer compatibility. The companies are announcing the Full HD Glasses Initiative, which should lay down a standard for consumer active shutter glasses to communicate over Bluetooth or IR and the new glasses should be backwards compatible with this year’s TVs, although early adopters from 2010 have no such guarantee……………

LG’s New Nano LED backlit LW9800, Next Generation CINEMA 3D HDTVs

The Korea, LG Electronics (LG) tintroduced their newest development in home entertainment, the LW980S in Seoul. The LW980S is a topof-the-class TV that combines LG’s advanced CINEMA 3D technology, Smart TV functions and NANO FULL LED all in one sleek package. LG shows two sizes, 55- and 47-inches are feature “Nano LED” local dimming with as many as 2,300 sources in the larger one and 480Hz motion technology. This smart TV also features like Cinema 3D, Magic Motion gesture remote control and its Smart TV with built-in WiFi and lot more.
