iOS 5 Download Available On October 12th

Apple is expected to introduce their latest mobile OS, iOS 5 at the event and the next version of Apple’s mobile operating system will be available for download in just over one week, will go live on October 12. iOS 5 is a free software update bringing over 200 new features to the iPhone, the iPad and the iPod touch, including a location-aware reminders app, newsstand and wireless syncing and the update aims to separate the iDevice from the personal computer with what Apple is calling PC Free, meaning any iOS 5 device can be operated entirely without a computer. iOS 5 offers iCloud support, allowing games designed for it to use cloud saving and it also offers AirPlay, a feature first seen in Real Racing 2 by Firemint. Sprint To Buy $20 Billion Worth Of iPhones

Wall Street Journal reports that Sprint has agreed to buy 30.5 million iPhones over the next four years from Apple for an average price of $655, which works out to $20 billion and report notes that this kinda commitments aren’t unusual for Apple’s carrier partners, demonstrating the success Apple has gained with the iPhone. Apple will indeed launch a redesigned iPhone 5, but it will be a 4G WiMAX device, which will be exclusively available on Sprint’s network, while carriers like AT&T and Verizon will get a 4G LTE iPhone in the first quarter of 2012………………..
