Microsoft Forcasts Its Kinect To Be Used For Medical Health Care

Microsoft have expressed interest in seeing the Kinect being used in operating rooms or doctors offices and this could also allow patients to attend therapy sessions which they would normally would have not due to the distance they’d have to travel. Doctors could also use the Kinect to call up patient files just by speaking the name of his/her patient and scroll through the data with swipes and gestures. Microsoft is said to have a prototype of such a system ready and hopes that the possibilities that it offers up will help to lower the resistance to change……….

Kinect For Windows SDK Beta

Kinect for Xbox is one of our favorite technologies in recent times and with over 10 million units sold and Microsoft has taken the Kinect’s magic a step further by announcing the Kinect for Windows SDK beta. Developers will now be able to build Kinect apps using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft did some live coding, showing how straight forward it is to work with. To get the full skeleton tracking you’re going to need the same sort of setup as on the Xbox 360 and Microsoft isn’t confirming any plans to integrate Kinect compatibility with any of its major apps……….
