Google+ officially launches its Games service with a series of established Facebook and mobile developers including Zynga, Playdom, PopCap Games, Kabam, Wooga, Rovio and more. Google+’s initial offering of games spans 16 titles, which include popular casual and social games and Google also says that it intends to keep Google+ games in a separate section from the rest of the network’s social features for allowing users to choose whether they want to see game updates from their circles or to ignore the content altogether……………..
Apple has shown interest in creating a new Maps application for the iPhone and other iOS devices that would exaggerate some details, like roads or landmarks to make navigation easier to follow and a patent shows that Apple’s maps will simplify things to the user by providing the most relevant information in the given situation. Coincidentally this seems to go with Apple’s overall design philosophy and the patent is called Schematic Maps, which first determines the amount of screen real estate that is available to the user………….

BBC release a version of its iPlayer on this side of the Atlantic, it’s already upgrading UK PlayStation 3s with a brand new interface. BBC iPlayer on TV is personalised, specifically designed for the living room, and easy to use and allows to control they want directly on the TV. The new UI is built on HTML5 and CE-HTML with an eye towards rolling it out easily on other devices soon, but there’s also plans for a version built with Adobe Flash and AIR technology. Epic Games president suggests Apple, the accidental gaming giant is obsoleting next-gen console and he hinks that rather than next generation consoles from Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony, people should be keeping their eyes peeled on iPhone 8 gaming in 2015. So we can now say that smartphones in 2015 to be as powerfull as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3………………..
Scientists at Linkoping University in Sweden has just introduced DollyCam an app for iPhone 4 and iPad 2. With DollyCam you can record videos and then stabilize them to remove camera shake. DollyCam also corrects wobble caused by the camera’s rolling shutter. The resulting videos are much smoother than the original recordings and are more pleasant to watch. The app does crop your footage slightly, as can be expected. You’ll also need to remain in the app as it’s processing, though you can also stabilize videos later, after completing your shoot.
