ASUS Transformer Pad, Prime And Infinity Will Get Jelly Bean Update

Previously, we have seen that Google and HTC have confirmed its smartphones would receive the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update. Now, Asus confirms that Android’s latest version called Jelly Bean will be coming to its various tablets. The company’s flagship tablets such as Transformer Pad, Transformer Prime and Transformer Infinity are in the line to get the update to Jelly Bean in the coming months. Asus is also saying, it is till not offering to upgrade the original Eee Pad Transformer or Eee Pad Slider.

Google Nexus 7 16GB Sold Out From Google Play Store

Google Nexus 7 16GB has been sold out from Google Play Store. Among two models of Nexus 7, 16GB tablet’s price is $249 where 8GB tablet’s price is at $199. 8GB Nexus 7 is still available but 16GB Nexus 7 is no longer available on Google’s own Play Store. Currently, its page says “Coming Soon” for both US and UK users. By using email, a sign up option is still open for all users and all sign up users are to be notified by email when Nexus 7 (16GB) becomes available.

U.S. Army Getting Wearable Computers For Helicopter Pilots

Defense contractor Raytheon has made a wearable military computer called Aviation Warrior. This wearable military tablet PC, Aviation Warrior, comes with a wrist-mounted screen, allowing pilots to see radar images, surveillance video and maps even on the ground. They can communicate with a built-in radio or by text. It is being specially made for the US Army. The US Army will use Android and Windows based systems during missions in future.
