Light Peak – High Speed Connection Technology By Apple Coming Soon

CNET have reported that Apple has announced to introduce its new high speed connection technology named as Intel’s Light Peak coming very soon. Meanwhile, accordimg to Intel, Light Peak is significantly faster than even USB 3.0, carrying data at 10 gigabits per second in both directions simultaneously. Connection speeds will not be affected by the transition to copper.

Google One Pass Service to Challenge Apple Subscription Service

After the launch of Apple’s subscription based service “The Daily”, Google has also launched it’s subscription service which allows the publishers to charge for content as they like. The service is named as “One Pass”. Google One Pass is geared to kneecap Apple’s App Store subscription service for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Publishers will keep 90 percent of sales, vs. 70 percent from Apple’s service.
