Windows Phone has a beautiful interface, thanks to Microsoft which has a knack of producing user-friendly interfaces. However, so far, no one has been so open and frank about the beauty of Windows Phone, and no one more convinced of it too, than Apple’s cofounder Steve Wozniak who has expressed this in a recent interview.
According to report, Apple is currently in talks with EPIX, backed by three major studios. The focus of these talks primarily is to procure content for Apple’s set-top box, Apple TV. However, there are chances that Apple’s attempt at furnishing content may also be directed at its long-anticipated iTV.
It is quite interesting to note how Apple was able to change the face of technology in today’s world with its iDevices. Specifically, Apple’s handset, iPhone has taken the mobile handset market by storm. Now, an ex-executive from Apple who worked on iPhone, Tony Fadell, has stated that before the launch of first iPhone, Apple was considering launching a smartphone with physical keyboard.
Earlier this week, a number of protesters gathered in front of Apple Store in Sydney and starting chanting ‘Wake Up.’ It was quite surprising since the protesters didn’t really seem ‘concerned environmentalists’ or activists, just a bunch of paid fellows. It was speculated that perhaps Samsung has paid these people to pitch up a protest against its rival.
The rivalry between Samsung and Apple is getting worse. Earlier this week, Samsung hired some protesters who were gathered in front of an Apple store in Sydney and kept shouting “WAKE UP.” Protesters arrived in front of the Apple store in a bus branded ‘WAKE UP’. Blogger Nate “Blunty” Burr captured protesters chanting the ‘Wake Up’ slogan and showing the ‘WAKE UP’ placards outside the Apple store. Although the protesters didn’t answer why Apple fans need to wake up, it is believed to be part of the campaign Samsung started for the launch of Galaxy S3 in Australia.
It has been said over and over again that Apple is merely carrying on its user base by selling its new devices to them after every launch. However, a report has now claimed that Apple’s iPad is attracting new Apple customers, suggesting that every one in four iPad buyer is a person who is using an Apple product for the first time.
Apple has always been hailed by users to be the safest OS compared to Windows and Linux. But it seems, the security of Mac OS systems was over-glorified. Digital security software maker Kaspersky Lab’s CEO believes that Apple is ’10 years’ behind Microsoft on security. After the widespread Flashback malware attack on Mac devices recently, users should take notice.
One of the most anticipated event by Apple developers around the world is the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Now, Apple has announced the dates of the next conference which is scheduled to take place less than two months from now on the dates June 11th to June 15th.
