Google Phasing Out Support For Older Browsers

Google has announced that it will be phasing out support for older browsers beginning August 1 and it will start with the loss of certain features, but it will eventually turn into loss of those web services altogether. Google wants to take full advantage of HTML5 technology and older browsers such as Internet Explorer 7, Safari 3, Firefox 3.5 and their predecessors just don’t have the capability to do so…………

Google Chrome vs Internet Explorer

The latest statistics about internet browser market shares reveal that both Chrome and IE9 have seen gains and Chrome gained 0.58 per cent in May, reaching 12.52 per cent of the total market, putting it in third place overall. IE9 grew from 2.4 per cent to 4.2 per cent, but this was offset for Microsoft by drops for older versions of IE. The top four browser versions are IE8, IE6, Firefox 4, then Chrome 11 and Firefox 5 is expected later in the month………….

Google Introduced +1

Google announced Wednesday that it has created website partnerships for its recently released +1 button and the ability to embed the button on pages across the web, sites such as Rotten Tomatoes, The Huffington Post, Best Buy and Nordstrom will now have a +1 button on pages so users can recommend products, news articles, and more to friends and family. The +1 button was introduced in March and allows users to recommend content to their associates directly from Google search results and Google has been rolling out the +1 button into English-language searches………

PayPal sues Google

eBay’s payment arm has sued for theft of trade secrets and breach of contract, the same day Google introduced its mobile payment system and at issue are the actions of two former PayPal employees who left to join Google. Stephanie Tilenius was hired by Google toward the end of June 2010, when she became Google VP of commerce and payments, then she left PayPal in October 2009 and PayPal claims she was bound by contract not to solicit PayPal employees until March 2011………….
