Now, Microsoft has been able to score a victory against Motorola over alleged patent infringement in some of its devices. As a result, ITC has banned the devices in question from entering U.S.
According to Microsoft executives, Windows Phone has gained traction in the Chinese market over iPhone. After just two months of launch in the Chinese market, Windows Phone has acquired 7% of the market. This is a tad higher than the 6% market share hold by iPhone.

Netgear has introduced a R6300 WiFi router and an A6200 USB adapter to 802.11ac product line for Next-Generation Wi-Fi. The company claims that the R6300 Wi-Fi Router is the industry’s first 802.11ac router. The R6300 Wi-Fi Router supports combined Wi-Fi speeds up to 1750 Mbps. The A6200 Wi-Fi adapter is a first-to-market 802.11ac dual band Wi-Fi USB adapter. By using it, a consumer can easily upgrade their existing wireless networks to 802.11ac performance. The NETGEAR R6300 WiFi Router is priced at $199.99 which will be available in May 2012 and the NETGEAR A6200 WiFi adapter is priced at $69.99, it will be available in the third quarter of 2012.

The US Navy has taken initiatives to fund a project to develop web applications to cut down maritime piracy. The project would be funded through the Office of Naval Research (ONR) of USA. A grant amounting $1 million has been sanctioned already.
