10-year-old girl discovers age old flaw in iOS and Android games, she discovered a zero day exploit in iOS and Android games that would allow her to speed time in game thus growing things faster. The 10 year old girl CyFi revealed this exploit at DefCon Kids and this zero day exploit is related to the clock in games which are used to measure the time it takes for a crop to grow, much like farmville. CyFi’s discovery has since been verified by independent security researchers and the exploit has been found to work in versions of games for both Apple and Android gadgets………….

HTC Bought Dashwire For User Data Backup Service

HTC purchases DashwireHTC has announced the purchase of Dashwire, a Seattle-based company that provides cloud services for Android, Windows Mobile, and Symbian smartphones and the purchase ould be worth as much as $18.5 million, which is said to strengthen HTC’s cloud services, but could also provide much-needed patents to the Taiwanese company. DirecTV confirmed Thursday that the satellite TV company was among many potential bidders for online video service Hulu and buying the company from its parents — The Walt Disney Co., News Corp., Comcast Corp. and Providence Equity Partners, could bolster DirecTV’s efforts to allow its customers to watch their video packages on mobile devices. DollyCam App Lets You Automagic Video Stabilization For iPhone 4 And iPad 2

Scientists at Linkoping University in Sweden has just introduced DollyCam an app for iPhone 4 and iPad 2. With DollyCam you can record videos and then stabilize them to remove camera shake. DollyCam also corrects wobble caused by the camera’s rolling shutter. The resulting videos are much smoother than the original recordings and are more pleasant to watch. The app does crop your footage slightly, as can be expected. You’ll also need to remain in the app as it’s processing, though you can also stabilize videos later, after completing your shoot.
