Google has now launched the YouTube Person Finder – a tool it hopes will make it easier for missing people in Japan connect to their loved ones.

Digg founder Kevin Rose is starting a new company. Rose had told NetworkEffect at South by Southwest that he was working on a new start-up. TechCrunch reported today that he had resigned and was closing a $1 million round in funding for the venture.

ICANN has approved by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, paving the way for a whole slew of new addresses suffixed by the famous triplicate x. You can reserve domains through its sponsor, ICM Registry, and .XXX domains will cost at least $60 to register once they become available in the next couple of months.

Gmail Blocked In China By Government

Google has announced that users of its Gmail email service in China are unable to access the service, and that it is being blocked by the Chinese government. Google Inc. said its engineers have determined there are no technical problems with the email service or its main website.
