Apple To Release iOS 4.3.3 / 4.4 To Fix iPhone Location Tracking Bug

Apple released iOS 4.3.2 a week ago which was supposed to solve the bugs seen in the iDevice especially ipad with the wi-fi issues. The famed Apple critic John Gruber of Daring Fireball believes that the much talked about tracking down of user’s location data on the iPhone is likely an oversight or a bug, which is mostly likely going to be fixed in the next iOS 4.3.3 / 4.4 update.

Verizon Q1 Earning Report: iPhone Sales of 2.2 Million In 7 Week

Verizon Wireless has announced today first quarter earning of 2011. Verizon activated 2.2 million CDMA iPhone units in the seven weeks between the February 10 launch and March 31, 2011. Data revenues climbed 22.% to top out at $5.5 billion. Data now accounts for 38.1% of all service revenue. Total service revenue was up 6.3% year over year and now totals $14.3 billion.

Verizon iPhone 5 To Support Both CDMA and GSM Networks

According to comments made by Verizon CFO Fran Shammo in the company’s last quarterly earnings call, Apple’s next iPhone will be a “global device” compatible with all carriers. The new iPhone 5 details were leaked by Verizon during a conference call while discussing iPhone 4 sales. Currently iPhone 4 devices which are on the Verizon network are CDMA-only.
