Fujitsu has informally announced a new windows 7 tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.With the informal announcement the company did announce some details to its Windows 7 slate, which unlike previous Tablet PC models, will be powered by an Atom-based Oak Trail processor.Like virtually every other PC maker in the known universe, Fujitsu is also reportedly planning to launch an Android tablet later this year.

Samsung Debuts Its First Sliding Tablet PC 7 Series at CES 2011

At CES 2011 in Las Vegas Samsung announced a new tablet device.The Microsoft Windows 7 PC 7 Series tablet is powered by Intel’s Atom processor designed for small mobile devices, which is codenamed “Oak Trail”. Rather than having just a touchscreen the machine has a sliding keyboard.Basically, the PC 7 Series has a sliding keyboard that can come out and sit at the foot of the display itself.The Samsung 7 Series Sliding PC will be available in March 2011 with a base price of $699.

Windows 8 on ARM Chipset Has Confirmed

At Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Microsoft confirmed its long-rumored plans to port the next version of Windows, currently known as Windows 8, to ARM chipsets, in addition to those based on the Intel x86 architecture.Windows 8 will support System on a Chip ARM-based systems from “NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments.” Microsoft also made plain at the time that x86 support will continue and that “normal” Windows software will run on an Intel based System on a Chip machines without rewrites.
