Apple Blocks GEVEY SIM For iPhone 4

Apple has blocked the hole used for iPhone 4 unlock using GEVEY SIM in the latest software update AND GEVEY SIM was a hardware based solution and in fact the only solution to unlock iv4 device on higher basebands, which is not able to operate by software based solutions like Ultrasn0w. Developer MuscleNerd notes that Cupertino’s blocking action could have been due to pressure from outside, probably carriers and the guys over at Gevey need to update their SIM too to bypass the future iOS 5, if Apple plans to stick with the blocking………..

For jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 2 you will have to use RedSn0w and point it to iOS 5 Beta 1 and this is still a tethered jailbreak, which means you will have to plug your iPhone in every time you reboot.
