When you use an Apple tablet or smartphone, access the web and browse to the pornographic sites, this is your own choice. But a Tennessee lawyer, Chris Sevier, has now filed a lawsuit against Apple, claiming that the company should have an anti-porn filter in all its devices.
Naturally, the lawsuit borders on the absurd and is fairly comical in its details. For instance, Sevier starts the content of his filing by stating that he absolutely loves Apple and that the company is doing a great service to this nation.
He then goes on to say that he was recently trying to access Facebook.com, but mistyped a few words and ended up on a porn-related site. According to him, this “appealed to his biological sensibilities as a male and led to an unwanted addiction with adverse consequences.”
The most hilarious part of this entire claim is that Sevier insists he is a ‘victim of porn’ and that Apple is to be held responsible for this. Evidently, watching younger girls online also kind of jeopardized Sevier’s marriage. The lawsuit filing reads, “The Plaintiff began desiring younger more beautiful girls featured in porn videos than his wife, who was no longer 21.”
Naturally, the lawsuit may be very amusing at its best, but we can expect that the courts would soon chuck it out. Besides, there are a number of software which can be used to block and filter porn on a given device.
