Yahoo Acquires Bignoggins, A Fantasy Sports App Maker

Yahoo’s acquisition spree hasn’t finished yet. The latest addition in the list is Bignoggins Productions. The announcement came on Monday.

Yahoo

Bignoggins Productions is a one-man army that develops fantasy sports mobile apps. Until now, the company had two apps in the marketplace – Fantasy Monster, and Draft Monster. Both apps were developed as all-in-one tools to let fantasy sports fans manage their teams on Yahoo, ESPN, and NFL’s services.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed, meaning it is insignificant to influence Yahoo’s financial performance. As part of the deal, Bignoggins’s founder and only full-time employee Jerry Shen will join Yahoo.

Although the above mentioned apps have been pulled of App Store and Google Play, the underlying technology used in the apps will be integrated in Yahoo Fantasy sports offerings.

You can read more on this in Shen’s own words.
