For more than 100 years, people have dreamed of a flying car. To make this dream come true, many attempts have been made, but till now the dream has remained a dream. Where companies are trying to make a flying car, at then, suddenly a Dutch company announce that, they have made such a car that can not only run on the ground, but also when necessary, it can fly in the sky. If that is true, then it should be the world’s first ever successful commercial flying car. Now, abort the plane or helicopter; sit in your car and fly in the sky.
This week the Dutch company Personal Air and Land Vehicle (PAL-V) announced that they have created a prototype of car that can fly in the sky. The name of this unique flying car is PAL-V One. The PAL-V One is a two seat hybrid car. On the ground this slim, aerodynamic, 3-wheeled vehicle drives like a sports car. It unfolds its rotor and extends its tail at the same time. When, the PAL-V One’s single rotor and propeller are unfolded totally, it is ready to fly. This flying car runs on gasoline. But the company plans to create a biodiesel version of the vehicle as well. The PAL-V can fly a distance of 315 miles or drive 750 miles on land using single tank of gas. It takes around 540 feet of land or pavement to take off and land the vehicle. It can reach speeds of up to 180 km/h (112 mph) both on land and in the air. For safety reason, it flies below 4,000 feet (1,200 m).
