Windows 8 Will Have Its Own App Store

Microsoft’s Windows chief Steve Sinofsky was talking about Windows 8 on Monday. He provides some interesting information on Windows 8, and the upcoming OS by Microsoft would be featuring an app store. The most interesting part was there is an App Store team.

This is the first official confirmation that Windows 8 will in fact have an app store. Its not that surprising that there might be an app store for Windows 8, like Apple, recently introduced the Mac App Store for its laptops and computers. Previously Windows Vista had an app store called the Windows Marketplace, but it never got much traction. But this time a team is apparently working on the store now although as to what it will be bringing to the table remains to be seen. Microsoft will probably be accused of imitating Apple — especially if the app store is actually called the Windows App Store.
