Developers Now Can Submit iOS 5 Apps

Apple announced that iOS 5 would be released to the public on October 12th, they have seeded the final Golden Master copy to developers and are now asking developers to submit iOS 5 applications for inclusion in the App Store. Apple has already been quietly approving many iOS 5 applications and this gives developers a chance to test against the final shipping version of iOS 5…………….

 

Following the release of the Golden Master seed of iOS 5, Apple has updated its developer portal with a new iOS 5 Readiness Checklist, which asking developers to start submitting apps written specifically with the iOS 5 SDK and the checklist includes links to the iOS 5 SDK release notes, Xcode 4.2 for developers and obviously detailed explanations of the various functionalities that will be introduced in iOS 5, such as Twitter integration, Newsstand, iCloud data storage and many more. Apple’s issued the call to all Mac OS X Lion Developers to submit their iCloud enabled OS X Lion apps and shortly after this first request went out Apple also asked iOS developers to submit their iOS 5 apps. The cat is out of the bag with Apple’s announcement about iClouds release on October 12th, so users can expect to see the release of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 on the same day. It will be interesting to see what kind of support developers give iCloud, but since it ships with every Mac or will soon there is not doubt that they will support it. Support for iCloud is baked into Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2. In below you will find the two emails:
