For those who want to keep a closer eye on their home or apartment while they’re away, there’s yet another product called Blink. Blink is an upcoming wire-free smart HD home monitoring and alert system that can be placed anywhere inside house.
The system comes complete with an app that allows users to arm or disarm their system, customize alert settings for each camera unit, monitor the temperature inside their home and receive notifications when the Wi-Fi connection is lost or battery life is low. For those who simply want to check in and see what’s happening at home, Blink also offers a “Live View” mode for instant insight.
In short, Blink features HF video, motion detector, instant alerts, live view, instant on, temperature sensor, night vision, built-in microphone, privacy assurance and status alerts. However, Blink can be placed anywhere inside home. As soon as motion is detected, video starts recording and an alert is sent to your smartphone or tablet, so you can see exactly what caused the alert and decide how to react.
At his moment, Blink remains as a prototype. Although its makers targeted to collect a fund of $200,000 by September 4, 2014 (8:01 PM +06:00) via Kickstarter, as of writing, the Blink makers have collected an amount of $221,079 from 1,915 backers.
